Working out at home is probably one of the most convenient ways to get your exercise in. Not having to go to a gym is a great blessing for many, and during the current pandemic, not having to be crowded with other people is a big bonus.
You should make sure that your exercise equipment is safe for you and your family. There are many accidents caused by either the misuse of equipment or unsupervised use by children of exercise equipment. This is why it is a good idea to have a locked door to the gym if you have young children at home. You should also have a dead man’s switch on any powered exercise equipment to prevent damage if the one using it were to fall or stumble.
You also should avoid leaving weights and other heavy items lying on the floor. Have a designated spot where you put the equipment after you are done with it, and it’s less likely to cause a fall or other damage.
