Trying to control pests in the summer can be challenging. Everyone’s version of a pest may be different, however, it’s safe to assume that all of us dislike pests in the home. It’s important to ward off pests and keep the home clean and disease-free.
The following are some pest control tips and tricks.
- Keep the kitchen clean. Pests thrive in dirty and damp atmospheres. Wipe the counters regularly with a disinfectant cleaner. If there are food particles lying out in the open they will attract pests.
- Dispose of the garbage regularly. An accumulation of garbage can lead to cockroaches and rat infestation. This will also lead to the spread of diseases. Throw that garbage out.
- Keep items used outside, outside. Objects specifically meant for gardening should be kept outside. Shoes, buckets, and other objects. They can unknowingly bring in pests from the outside. The same is true with bicycles, toys, and other outdoor items.
- Don’t allow water to stand. Mosquitoes are in love with stagnant water. Ensure there’s absolutely no stagnant water anywhere near your home.
- Don’t keep fruits and vegetables out for long. Avoid keeping cut and ripe fruits out of the fridge for long. Overripe fruit can attract pests like house flies, ants, and cockroaches.
